2015 is a special year within the EU as it has been
designated as the European Year for Development (EYD 2015). It is the first
European Year ever that is dealing with the European Union's external action
and Europe’s role in the world.
The national program is implemented by CYINDEP (Cyprus
Island-wide NGO Development Platform) in cooperation with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Within the frame of the national program of Cyprus in
regards to the European Year for Development 2015 a Young Writers Competition
for a Research Article/Opinion Article Composition on topics related to
International Development is announced. The competition is open to those from ages
18-35 years. Deadline for submissions is May 31st,
2015.
